Short Bio
Shaul Bar-Lev received his D.Sc. degree from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in 1981. His research interests are mathematical statistics, statistical inference, asymptotic theory, characterizations, exponential families, variance functions, sampling, randomized response models, applied stochastic models, group testing, and marketing surveys. He is currently an associate editor for Mathematical Methods of Statistics and Advances and Applications in Statistics. Since 2004, Shaul Bar-Lev has been an Extramural Fellow of the CentER (Center for Economic Research) at the University of Tilburg, the Netherlands. He was awarded Fellow of the American Statistical Association for outstanding contributions to the statistical profession, for his contributions to statistical theory—especially on exponential families of distributions—and for work in effectively establishing statistical support and consulting activities.
